On November 25, leading specialists and profile managers of RUSAL have completed training course within the tenth (extraordinary) round of the advanced training program “GR and lobbying in Business and Nonprofit Sector”, implemented by Baikal Communications Group in cooperation with the School of Business and International Proficiency. 32 students received certificates of advanced training.

During the five-day program, the trainees improved the skills of representing and promoting the company interests in the state authorities of the federal and regional levels, as well as in the supranational (EEC) space. The acquired knowledge will allow students to professionally build communications between business and public authorities at all levels, plan GR projects in new realities and effectively protect the organization interests. Classes were held in practical form and workshops. According to the results of the training, 22 participants received the advanced training certificates of the state standard.

The course program includes disciplines devoted to various aspects of GR and lobbying activities: much attention is paid to building business and public authorities (federal and regional) communication amid the crisis, working with business and industry associations, expert and scientific organizations, state corporations and development institutions. An important section is devoted to the study of GR tools and lobbying activities, such as monitoring and analysis of the regulatory environment, legal expertise of draft laws and other NPAs, PR tools, event management, etc.

As part of the educational program, the speakers shared with the audience GR-experience from various industries: GR in IT and finance, agriculture, retail and logistics, shipbuilding, green energy, coal industry, metallurgy and others. During the classes, great emphasis was placed on the anti-crisis and regional GR, as well as on the environmental agenda. In addition, the students studied the structure and tools (internal and external) of GR in a private company and learned how to build the work of the GR department amid the crisis.
