Baikal Communications Group Partner of the International Communications and CSR Practice Anastasia Tsvetkova took part in the review of environmental initiatives presented at the “Social Course: New Age Ideas” contest.

In 2024, the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly launched the project “Social Course: New Age Ideas”, which is aimed at raising awareness of federal executive authorities, public authorities of the Russian Federation subjects and citizens of the country about the best social practices implemented by the non-governmental sector, as well as subsequent assistance in their replication in the Russian Federation subjects.

At the end of March, a meeting of expert groups on the directions of the contest was held, during which the winners were determined in the following categories: Family and Parenthood, Health Care, Active life (sports and tourism),Comfortable environment (urban environment and ecology), Science and Education, Culture and We are together(the older generation, the disabled and orphans).

It is expected that, based on the results of the project, videos will be developed about the winning practitioners of the contest. The videos will be broadcast on TV channels of the Russian Federation subjects.

Anastasia Tsvetkova noted that among the top-8 projects in the Comfortable Environment nomination, the projectNational Parks without garbage Baikal was presented at the discussion of the expert group. This project has alreadybeen implemented in three national parks in the Baikal Natural Area by the Lake Baikal Foundation.
