The company has opening for junior lobbyist / government relations associate.

Baikal Communications Group is seeking for a young specialist who is willing to drive company growth resolving lobbying cases for clients. The concept of our work is based on projecting individual lobbying strategies for each client. We combine traditional and innovative tools and approaches to achieve maximum efficiency in lobbying campaigns providing them with deep analytic work, expert ties, reputation and anti-crisis consulting and communication support in the media.

Key Responsibilities:

Interaction with Senior Director of Government Relations and Lobbying in context of developing and implementing GR and lobbying strategies, practices and processes for our clients. Preparation of analytic findings about current regulations in various fields, monitoring legislative changes under development both in Russia and in countries of client’s operation. Studying and forecasting national and international state policy and providing assistance in the policy development recommendations on federal programs as it pertains to client’s interests. Presenting client policies and positions to relevant government officials and related associations, organizations, and coalitions; informing сlient with up-to-date news from these institutions; providing info-analytic assistance for client company’s top-management in decision-making.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a commanding knowledge of key policy areas in Russia (EEU countries, Eastern Europe, China and the USA – preferable). Candidates should be into decision-making mechanism of executive and legislative branches. They should have knowledge of regulations and law-making procedure in Russian Government, Federal Executive Authority Bodies, Russian Parliament, and regulatory processes in major branches of economics.

We are seeking for candidates with critical thinking, who are capable of performing tasks with punctuality and creative interest based on deep analytical skills and intellectual curiosity. Junior lobbyist should possess strong skills in fields of interpersonal and intercultural communication, be extremely careful about details, willing to work in conditions of multitasking and limited time simultaneously. Candidates should possess capability of independent work, strong research skills and well-bred written speech. We are seeking for professionalism multiplied by enthusiasm and willingness to resolve unique cases regardless of officially set schedule. In our job it is necessary to think ahead and be available 24/7.

Required:

Command of English, degree in Law Studies, Ecomomics or Political Science.

Working with us:

  • Junior lobbyist will learn to work with the inside, creating stakeholder maps and form coalitions to perform lobbying tasks, work out GR-strategies and campaigns
  • Junior lobbyist will learn to interact with the media implementing GR- and lobbying projects
  • Junior lobbyist will get experience of working with Russian and international companies from agricultural and IT spheres, pharmaceuticals, tobacco and spirits fields, etc.
  • Junior lobbyist will have an opportunity to attend a training course GR&Lobbying at MGIMO at the company’s expense.
