On December 8, 2023, Baikal Communications Group, together with the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held a webinar “Legal foundations and key features of the work of the Subcommittee of the Government Commission for the Control of Foreign Investments in the Russian Federation”.

The speakers were Anastasia Parfenchikova, partner, Director of the Legislation and Legal Studies’ Practice, and Yan Saveliev, Baikal Communications Group Project Manager for interaction with the authorities.

During the webinar, the following issues were highlighted:

  • about the history of Subcommittee creation and its structure;
  • about the legal basis of its activities;
  • about transactions and operations requiring approval;
  • about the specifics and exceptions in the approval of transactions and operations;
  • about current trends in the Subcommittee work;
  • about the alternative measures to regulate foreign business in Russia;
  • about the key features of GR-work with the Subcommittee.

The webinar was attended by at least 30 colleagues – representatives of Russian and foreign companies.
