Anastasia Tsvetkova, partner of the International Cooperation and CSR practice, shared the company’s experience in building strategies for interaction between business and non-profit organizations for sustainable change at a meeting of the CCI France Russie Committee on CSR and Sustainable Development.

On February 21, 2024, the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hold a discussion on the topic “Business and NGOs: rethinking the formats of interaction and partnerships. The Challenges of 2030”. Among the speakers, along with the Baikal Communications Group representative, there were speakers from Servier, Boiron, the Donor Forum, and Keep.

During the speech, Anastasia Tsvetkova spoke about current trends in the development of partnership between business and the non-profit sector and the variety of existing formats. She also noted how traditional charitable assistance were being replaced by the provision of services, sponsorship and pro bono projects. Using the case studies of the Lake Baikal Foundation, Anastasia demonstrated how transformational projects in the environmental field were launched thanks to business expertise: nowadays companies help pilot technological solutions in environmental monitoring and waste disposal; they act as allies in the development of green investments; join forces in collecting data for the conservation of biodiversity, while NGOs, in turn, become guides to stakeholders such as science, government and society, formulate problems, assess risks and promote implemented solutions to the level of systemic changes on a regional and federal scale.

As a result of the presentation, Baikal Communications Group received an invitation to share its experience in the field of developing such projects and evaluating their impact at other CCI France Russie thematic committees, as well as at Donor Forum events.
