On April 13, MGIMO completed the 13th round of the advanced training program “GR and lobbying in Business and Nonprofit Sector”, implemented by Baikal Communications Group in cooperation with the School of Business and International Proficiency. 

The purpose of the program is to master and improve the activities of professional specialists in promoting the interests of business and NGOs in government bodies at the federal and regional levels, as well as in the supranational and international space.

The course program includes disciplines devoted to various aspects of GR and lobbying activities: significant attention is paid to building communication between business and public authorities in a crisis period, GR in the sustainable development of an organization, managing relations with public, expert and scientific institutions, working with business and industry associations, state corporations and development institutions, as well as with the Subcommission The Board of Directors for the Control of Foreign Investments in the Russian Federation.

Throughout the program, the speakers shared with the audience GR-experience from various sectors of the economy and NGOs: GR in the agro-industrial complex, in the field of marketplaces and catering, IT, Edtech, pharmaceuticals, financial and banking sector, retail, “green” and traditional energy, metallurgy, mining and others.

During six days of interactive classes and workshops, students studied the principles and functions of lobbying, methods and instruments of lobbying activity, technologies for building B2G communications using the example of companies from various sectors of the economy, as well as key tools of GR and lobbying activities: monitoring and analysis of the regulatory environment, legal expertise of bills and other NPAs, PR tools, event management, etc. Special emphasis was placed on mastering GR approaches in a private company, working with regulatory risks and solving crisis response cases in the context of the functioning of the GR department.

At the end of the program, 32 participants received state standard certificates of advanced training.

Registration is open for the 14th stream of study, which is scheduled for November 18-23, 2024. The course duration is 60 academic hours.
